Configuring an Autoresponder

Set up an autoresponder if you are going on holidays and want to inform your email contacts when you are contactable again.

If you are away for a prolonged period, you can set up an autoresponder. If you have multiple email addresses, you can use this setting separately for each email address.

How to create an autoresponder for just one email address

  1. Click Email.
  2. Click on Settings.
  3. Click Autoresponder.
  4. Set the period of time for the autoresponder.
  5. Write a message for the autoresponder.
  6. Click on Save.

The autoresponder is only sent to each sender address once. If you have also configured forwarding and set it so that no copy remains on the server, no autoresponder will be sent.
How to create an autoresponder for multiple email addresses

  1. Click Email.
  2. Click on Settings.
  3. Click Autoresponder.
  4. Move your mouse over the appropriate email address and click the tool icon.

  7. Click on Save.

How to deactivate an autoresponder

  1. Click Email.
  2. Click on Settings.
  3. Click Autoresponder.
  4. If you have multiple alias addresses, move your mouse over the appropriate email address and click the tool icon.
  5. Set the period of time for the autoresponder to Never.
  6. Click on Save.
