Your right to data portability

It is important to us that you retain full control over your data. As a GMX user, you have the option of automatically downloading all data about you in standardized formats for use at your own discretion.

  • Personal data: You can export your personal data, e.g. address or phone number. To do so, click More → My Account → Personal Data → Export. The .csv file can be imported into a spreadsheet as desired.
  • E-Mails: You can use POP3 to download and store your emails locally. To do so, you need to activate POP3/IMAP GMX first.

  • Contacts: Export your contacts from your GMX Contacts to use them in other address book applications.
  • Organizer: Export one or more of your calendars to use and manage them in other calendar applications.
