Integration on Windows 10

If you are using Windows 10, you can connect your GMX Cloud as a network drive and manage files directly on your computer.

  1. Set up an application-specific password and make a note of it.
  2. Open File Explorer from the Windows taskbar at the bottom of the screen or from the Start menu (Windows logo).
  3. Select This PC from the left pane.
  4. On the Computer tab (in the upper area of the File Explorer window), select Map network drive.
  5. In the Drive list, select a drive letter.
  6. In the Folder box, enter this network address: https://storage-file-eu.gmx.com.
  7. If you want to automatically connect to your Cloud when you log in to your computer, put a checkmark next to Reconnect at sign-in.
  8. Click Finish.
  9. Enter your GMX email address and the application-specific password you created in step 1.
  10. Click OK.
The connection to your Cloud is established.
Your Cloud is displayed in a new window.
Info:

If you retrieve your emails via POP3/IMAP, you will then need a separate application-specific password. Use this instead of your usual password in the email programme or the email app provided by the other provider.
