Managing Keys with Mailvelope

Please note:

Exporting keys is currently not possible.

Other than your own key pair, mailvelope also stores public keys associated with other contacts. You can manage these keys with mailvelope.

Opening the mailvelope key management

1. Click the mailvelope icon in your browser's upper right corner.
2. Click Settings.
3. Click Manage Keys.

Exporting a Key

1. Click View Keys and select the key you wish to export.
2. Switch to the Export tab and click Download.

Importing a Key

1. Open the settings page Import Key and click Select Key file for import.
2. Select the key file and click Open.
3. Click Import.

Removing a Key

1. Click View Keys and move your mouse over the key you wish to remove.
2. Click the trash icon.
3. Click OK to confirm.

Viewing a key's fingerprint

1. Click View Keys.
2. Click the key.
   The key's fingerpring will be shown among other data.
