Several browsers save your inserted password automatically. If you have forgotten your
password, you can view it in your browser.
Requirements:
You have saved your
GMX password
in your browser or E-Mail application.
How to view saved passwords in Firefox
Click the menu icon in the upper right corner.
Click Options.
Click
Privacy & Security and scroll down to
Logins and Passwords.
Click Saved Logins...
The Firefox password manager opens in a new tab.
If you need to narrow down the list, enter
in the search field.
In the list on the right, click the appropriate entry.
Click the eye icon.
The password is
shown.
How to view saved passwords in Chrome
Click the menu icon in the upper right corner.
Click Settings.
Under Autofill, click Passwords.
If you need to narrow down the list, enter
in the search field.
Click the eye icon next to the appropriate entry.
If necessary, enter your Windows credentials and click OK.
The password is
shown.
How to view saved passwords in Opera
Click the Opera icon in the upper left corner.
Click Settings.
On the left, click Advanced and then click Privacy & security.
Under Autofill, click Passwords.
If you need to narrow down the list, enter
in the search field.
Click the eye icon next to the appropriate entry.
If necessary, enter your Windows credentials and click OK.
The password is
shown.
How to view saved passwords in Microsoft Edge
Click the menu icon in the upper right corner.
Click Settings.
On the left, click Passwords & autofill.
The switch Save passwords has to be set to On if you want your browser to save passwords.
Click Manage passwords.
A list of your saved passwords is shown.
Click the appropriate entry.
Follow the shown instructions to view your password in Windows Control Panel.
How to view saved passwords in Internet Explorer
Click the gearwheel icon in the upper right corner.
Click Internet options.
Switch to the tab Content.
Under AutoComplete, click Settings.
The AutoComplete Settings window is opened.
Click Manage Passwords.
The Credential Manager window is opened. You can see a list of your saved passwords.
Click the appropriate entry.
Next to the hidden Password, click Show.
If necessary, enter your Windows credentials and click OK.

How to view saved passwords in Safari
Click
Safari and then
Preferences....
Switch to the
Passwords tab.
A list of saved passwords will appear.
To narrow down the list, enter
in the search field. Check the box
next to
Show passwords for selected websites. Enter your
Mac user password and confirm by clicking
OK.

How to view saved passwords in Thunderbird
To open the options, press the
Alt and
T keys at the same time.
Click
Options.
Switch to the
Security tab and click
Passwords. Click the
Saved Passwords... button.
A list of saved passwords will appear.
To narrow down the list, enter
in the search field. Click
Show Passwords and confirm by clicking
Yes.
